Office Information

Appointments
Ear Specialists office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is not necessary to have a referral to make an appointment at our office unless your insurance requires a referral. It is best to let the receptionist know if you are making an appointment with Dr. Thedinger or an audiologist and the location you would like to be seen. Our Bellevue office is for hearing evaluations and hearing aids only. If you are unable to keep your appointment please try and give us at least 48 hours notice so that we may give this appointment to someone else whom is waiting for an appointment.

New Patient Office Visit
Upon making your appointment we will mail you new patient information forms to be filled out. Please bring these forms with you to your appointment. We will also need to copy your insurance cards. At the initial visit to our office, you will be taken by one of the audiologists for a hearing test. Following the hearing test you may be seated back in the waiting room until an examination room is available for you. On return visits you may also expect to have a hearing evaluation prior to your visit with Dr. Thedinger.

Insurance and Payment Options
Please feel free to discuss your billing questions with our staff at any time. Above all, we want our patients to understand our charges and be satisfied that they are reasonable and equitable.
If you are enrolled in a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), it is your responsibility to secure a referral from your primary care physician.
We appreciate payment at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
Our office utilizes the universal super bill form. In many instances it may be convenient for you to attach the super bill to your insurance form and mail it to your insurance company. However, as a service to you, our office will submit insurance forms for extensive testing, surgical procedures, and hospitalizations. We consider the patient primarily responsible for payment on the account. We participate in all major insurance plans.

Hospital Affiliations
Dr. Thedinger has active staff privileges with Bergan Mercy (Alegent Health), Methodist and Childrens Hospitals and Clarkson Hospital/Nebraska Health System.

Our Commitment
We believe every patient deserves a thorough understanding of their problem and our recommended plan of treatment. We are committed to taking the time to listen to your symptoms, answer your questions, explain diagnostic tests, the results of those tests, and treatment recommendations. In addition, informative booklets explaining various ear problems have been developed for your use.
